Ok. I have 3 ducks in the freezer, watched the video and ordered some supplies from Van Dykes Taxidermy. Waiting on the supplies to arrive and then I will begin my half*** taxidermy attempt.
Over/Under on days or hours that I get frustrated and throw all that garbage away?

I'll take 6 Over, 2 days each for errors and 1 to say I need more specimens :D

Okee, please keep us posted on how your experiment goes. I would love to take it up but it seems like a tough craft to master.

I watched the video. It seems like the whole project could be done in about 8-9 days. The bird has to stay carded (cardboard around the feathers to hold in place for one week.)
The most difficult part seems to be getting all the flesh/fat off the bird. I will have to use a wire brush.
Expenses will run about $20-25 for each bird. But I understand why taxidermist charge $150-$200. How much is two days of your time worth?
All in all, it might just be better to find a cheap taxidermist and go with it.
But we shall see!

I've thought about trying it. Let us know how it turns out.
