My buddy has a permit for opening day 3/4 afternoon. The rest of us in our hunting group have am. He will have dekes and canoe, but would rather partner up than go solo. Any one intetersted can call me as he is not a UWF member yet. John 561 379 3484

...as he is not a UWF member yet...

:Confused1

I instituted a new rule last year. You don't get to go to my spots or hunt out of my boat until you fork over the lousy 25 bucks.:eusa_naug

It's not a stretch to tell your friend that he probably would not be hunting STA 3/4 if it were not for UW-F. Extract the cash at the gate:love4: :tongue11:

Well, would you hunt out of his canoe and in his spot? Cause that is the question here?

I've already got plans, but thank him for the offer. Someone should jump on it:thumbsup:

Sorry to hijack the thread, your post just reminded me of something:icon_smil

I went to get my first STA permit last year. Tony Sanso was good enough to tell John (Brightlights) and me about the STAs. While on the line I had the pleasure of meeting Newton Cook. Soon thereafter John and I joined UW-F. BAM - two new members. The I forced John's Bro to join. Then John got Dan to join - Bam - Two more new members. I am currently talking to two friends of mine. I am going to take them Duck hunting for the first time. I am pretty sure that they will like it and then I will explain to them why they should join UW-F.

The point is that you can be a better Ambassador to the sport and to the cause by getting others involved first and then selling the UW-F.

The guy John is talking about is going to the STA for the first time. He was told about it by Dan.

I believe the legacy of John and Adam bringing NEW members in to the UW-F will continue.

Point well taken on the new guys. Hook 'em first :)

I was refering to season veterans that should have known better. They appreciated all UW-F was doing for them but just couldn't seem to reach in the wallet and pull out the cash.:fart:

Thanks for bringing in the new members. If every member just signed up 1 friend we would reach our goal of 1000 members.

Take them hunting and when it is time to hand them the shells. Hand them a brochure first. IT works every time. :happy3:
