Headed down to Guana this morning with Gunnerdog to do some scouting and my old 10 hp outboard was giving me problems and I'm about through with it. It only needs to have the carb rebuilt, but the wife is tired of me putting money into it and said get a new one. She worries because I take my 5 year old with me. Who can argue with getting somehting new with permission!!!So I am looking to buy a newer 10 hp outboard. Not picky on make. Want something 2000 or newer. Anyone with something let me know.
Also for sale 1973 merc 110 9.8 HP. Power head gone through last winter perfect compression and clean as new. Lower unit was gone through this spring with new bushing, seals, waterpump and shift carrier. 6 gallon tank with new hose and bulb. Great shape. Runs great, but will lose power and die like it's starved for fuel. Pump the bulb and it fires back up and takes off. Needs probably a carb rebuild or clean. Will be happy to show compression and test run for someone.
Make me an offer. I paid $400 for it and have put another $350+ into it. Needs to go so I can buy a new one.
