i have an rem. 870 i was wondering what is the best choke tube for duck hunting.

The "correct" answer is to tell you that you should take your gun, a few chokes and a few different loads to the local range and pattern the gun.
The short answer is IC if they are working the deks and modified will probably be best for pass shooting.

I like modified unless I'm in a sky busting kinda mood. Then I crank down the full and let the steel fly.

I used to change chokes...now I just leave the modified in.
If you buy a choke for your 870..MAKE SURE IT IS FOR STEEL!!! If you don't.... you will have it in there permanently! :eek:

For faster steel (> 1500fps) I would recommend the lt. mod. Briley extended is the most popular. But, what Converted said is true, get out and pattern different chokes at different ranges to be sure.
