I hunted the St. Johns this morning and although the conditions were certainly "ducky", the ducks didn't seem to agree.

My only bird was a drake ringer that ran the gauntlet through a few groups south of me to find itself beak to barrel with my ithaca. I saw only three other birds on a fast track west and well out of range.

I spoke with DuckmanJR on his way out and he reported the same thing. Other areas nearby were slow as well. I did see another Eagle with an egret in it's talons headed home for breakfast, it's all good!

We had a slow morning on the upper St. Johns as well. 1 Mottled was it. There were some birds around but the sky busting was amazing. I had two guys set up on me at +/- 300 yards across open water. I was in a small weed patch, layout style. These jokers were shooting at birds that were closer to me than to them. I also saw them drop some coots. :(
