the meeting was attended by commissioner Herky Huffman N.E. Regional Director David Dennis Chuck Knoles (ibelieve ) they introduced themselves kind of fast.Gary Morse 2 ladies from the legal side 2 fwc officers State Representative Mitch Needelman (chairman of enviromental regs i believe. The meeting started with a power point on due process (i and a few others wondered if we where in the wrong meeting). After this there was a breif question period about the presentation where one fellow stood up and asked what was going on was this a fwc meeting or a bunch of attorneys. Then it proceeded with speakers from the public A brevard couple the rouchards i believe who have an enviromental foundation set up in there sons name. Then two other gentelman with the guides assc. all talking passionately about keeping the fwc the way that it is and not as a political apointte. This is where it was started to be said that what we all had heard was that we did not want to see the fwc become under one umbrella with an elected official as the head. Ithan got up only to reiterate what was said before me and to thank the fwc for working so well with the uwf;and that we appreciated their hard work and efforts. After the meeting broke up i talked with regional director David Dennis mentioning again my feelings of keeping the fwc out of politics. He said i should tell that to his boss. I started talking with rep. Needleman he made it very clear that his goal was to bring all the enviromental org. under one umbrella to stream line and give the public one elected person in charge of this org. I didnt fell it was nesseccary to ask him about the people who just got up andf all agreed not to do what he was trying to establish that more government and poltics would not help the enviroment or the hunters or fisherman. We need to make sure that we keep attending these meetings because if it becomes poltical we all know that it will be the dollars that talk and not what is good for the land or what is good for the hunters and fisherman. This effects everyone who hunts or fishes in florida.

It's Dr. Broussard and Margaret and they ain't no good for the common hunter. If he can't make a buck on it he would just as soon have public land closed to the public. He is a scrub jay guy.

Randy, Thank you for attending the meeting and giving all of us the heads up, I spoke with Newton this evening and he so elequently put it to where a simple man such as I could undertsand the whole of the proceedings.
We as hunters and fisherman definately need to keep an eye on this one and speak loudly while still carrying a big stick.

Yes, if this were to happen it could/would be THE SINGLE WORST THING THAT COULD HAPPEN TO HUNTERS/FISHERMAN IN OUR STATE!!!

Nothing could be worse than the "political machine" having anything to do with the FFWC.
