Wow what a great meeting we had today. It was great to see those who made an apperance and voiced their concerns, and volunteered their support.
Topics of discussion were widly varied and much of your concerns were addressed: A lengthy discussion of STA #2 and UW's role was a hot topic that we saved for the end.
Also discussed was the following items:
Education is the fundamental element in a conservation plan. People must understand the importance of protecting wildlife and its much needed areas for survival.
WGBC will be a non-profit 501-c4 working to restrore and conserve quality game bird resources for migratory and local game birds. Utilizing local fund raising events, corporate and private donations.
WGBC is a group of dedicated and diverse volunteers that will contribute time and efforts to insure our focus and goals are reached,through hands on projects and to open new hunting areas.
Goals:
To raise funds and collect money for wood duck boxes,hen houses, and all other hands on projects.
To work hand in hand with all government and local agencies as needed to accomplsh our goals.
To be a voice at meetings,both local and statewide.
To work with other organizations and their membership to promote and educate.
To execute our ideas and conservation work as often as possible.
To meet on a regular monthly basis as well as a board meeting once a month.
Keep all members informed of all activities and upcoming events.
To help micro manage areas as needed.
I look forward to next months meeting as we will go over by-laws and officers.
