Well ... not bad.

Ended up with 4 birds. 3 ringers (1 hen/2 drakes) and a a hen Redhead.

Not too bad for a bluebird day with out any wind. ;)

How's that Duke?? You got a computer in your boat??? :D

Fyre and I went out with a couple of buds. We got 11.
Fyre got a mottled, 2 ringers and a teal.
I got a mottled, a ringer and 3 teal.
Our pals got a teal each.
We didn't recover a mottled, a shoveler and a teal.

Slower than I expected for the opener, but I did OK. :D

Well I hunted with dad (DuckmanJR) limits for both of us (Mottleds, teal, and ringers) out of the marsh at 7.
Apparently there is a fair number of people who should return to kindergarten and learn how to read a watch. Several groups of hunters were shooting early some by 10 minutes!

two bwt and one mottled, I let the "kids"shoot. Not a lot of ducks down here yet. Fun day though. REfuge Officer said we had more ducks than the first 8 boats in. Out with Capt George monday.....he did a little better today but not much....

2 for 3 on sailfish, 1 king, 2 dolphin - still waiting for my duck hunting gear to arrive from Mich. If there were ducks down here (Key West) they would have been flying - 17-20 knot winds all day - got my but kicked.

I'm jealous - I can't wait to post something on here that has feathers.

4 GWT, 1 BWT and 1 Mottled, by 7:00 I was letting the teal pass waiting for a "big" duck to fill my limit. What a morning, we watched birds flying everywhere for 10 minutes without taking a shot. Reese (my Vizsla) made her first duck retrieves, even a still kicking mottled didn't phase her..................What a morning, What a morning, What a morning!!!!!!!

Joe, Joey and John......thanks for the invite, you guys have any more cancellations I'll be happy to fill the vacancy.

Saw about 75 mallards, a group of teal, 30 or so scaup and a group of big divers headed north.

For the bag- 27 beeliners, 4 sea bass, one 10 lb Gag.

3 rods.

We did have a 50 + lb cobia follow up a hooked octapus, but didn't get a hook up. Also, several throw back grouper and a few that wouldn't budge.

Maybe next time I'll bring my gun and some decoys off shore.

3 ringers and a teal. My partner got his limit and my shootin was pretty bad. I was using an IC choke and it sure wasn't very effective on the ringers even at close range. I kept waiting on more teal but just watched them land out of range. Also lost 2 cripples, didn't bring the dog due to gator infestation.

Went back out for an evening hunt to try to take a mottled. While setting up the 4 dekes as I was placing them 2 mottles hovered 10' over my head. I looked over to the clump of sawgrass my gun was in then looked back at the drake and I sware he winked at me.

I got out with Joey today and we limited out on Ringers.... Not alot of birds around but enough "traffic" to keep the birds that were there moving around a bit.

Phil...No problem...It would have been a shame to waste a spot like that.... :)

Jim.... We'll get you out to shoot a few.... Don't be too hard on the "guide"... I think he might have been constipated!:D

merritt was hot saturday and cold sunday.
Saturday we got 6 gwt, 4 bwt, and 2 pins.
Sunday about half of saturdays hunters showed
up and for good reason, they saw something
that I didnt. In the area there were only four
boats and myself. we only shot 1 gwt, 2 bwt and
1 spoon bill.
Saturday it only took 20 min of shooting time
to knock down two limits, had time to make a pot
of coffee and cook smoe eggs, pick up, and back at
the ramp by 8:00.
Wednesday its ringer time. :)

Yea Mr. D-duck and I pop'em good, my first time

No fair, most of you guys killed more than I SAW!.

I missed only shot - at a bufflehead. Son missed them and a BWT later. Seven shells and 2 skunks -we're so proud.

Iamonia was devoid of ringers, those lucky enough to have access to the edges got a few shots at woodies.

Highlight of the trip was the lone Snowgoose (yes, I am sure) that flew over us honking while we picked up dekes with both guns UNLOADED.

Two days, two different partners, 4 limits. NOthing exciting in the bag, but great days to be in the marsh. Lots of shooters out. I swear I saw shots at ducks 250 yards high. Duck calls being used like trumpets. All you guys saw the same stuff.
Just teal and mainly ringes. Had about 12 black bellys fly over shooters and within 30 yards of me. I let them pass but hoped they would circle for my friend. He needs one for a mount. It didn't happen.
A lot of fun to just get out. Had some nice decoying birds once the shooters left the marsh.

I know GH, I know!

We haven't had any new shirts made up, because we still have plenty of the XL and 3XL.

The "Smoe" stuff was not intended as a jibe. the typo made me think of the stooges.

Glad yall got some shooting.

Ok, Ok I'll tell ya anyway, it was peacock pocket.
we had the draw for the first two days.
Keep me in mind, would be nice to have UW shirt
on when I shoot sporting clays. 3x looks like a tent,
and XL shows to much of what I ate over the years.

Finally cut a feather or two at PCS on Wed. Pond 8B is way down but the teal just kept a-comin'. We picked up 9, mostly BWT, GWT and some ringers. Some pintails also taken by the guys on the next island.
