Sfwmd Wrac Meeting (lake O, C44 And Eaa Resv. On Agenda)

Meeting is 9 am April 6 at SFWMD offices on Gun Club Rd. Room B 1. There are reports to the WRAC on the meetings we recently attended on the C44, Lake O and the EAA Reservoir. Public Comments are allowed

I will be attending this meeting to follow up on UW-F position statements on record.

The presentation on the Reservoirs had a NEW!!! archtecural drawing of the levees......one with a gentle slope and a true picture of water levels (eliminated safety as an issue)....Recreation issues were mentioned, with a "need" for a time to test during a cycle on the first reservoir. All the infrastructure (ie: boat ramps) we asked for as per the PIR will be built along with the project or permitted so as to not delay access after completion. Jerry Krenz has a new "white paper" that is much better than the first one.

Our comments and attendance at the meetings has paid off again.

The SFWMD management and staff attending specifically mentioned the positive input UW-F has had in the process.
