We have a generous offer from member Satchel's Dad, to give a game strap to new member sign ups. John makes these out of paracord, and they look great.

If you know someone that is thinking about becoming a member, tell them to sign up now for their free game strap.

A big thank you goes out to john:wav:

Those could use a UW duck band on them.

Dear Duckbone,

I agree with you about the band. Duckman has about a dozen or so that I will be able to access, but if there were more, I would include one on each strap I give away.

I have the ones you sent to me and will give them to Milan with UW-F bands to take to George...great idea, and thank you John. You are a good friend to UW-F.

Hey Hitch,

It'd be easier if you gave the bands to Joe Richter. He lives a lot closer to me than does George.

BTW, I have made and shipped out 6 duck straps to date for new members, and hope for more after the Summit.

Thanks very much for the nice reward for new Members....the reason the straps would be better with George is he can simply send them out with the New Member "thank you" letter and info that goes our automatically....

Dear Newton,

I guess I misunderstood. I thought we were talking about only the bands we were going to put on the duck straps, not the straps themselves... my bad.

I think I am the one confused!!!....I thought you were discussing sending the straps to Joe or someone else to send out to the new Members.....

The "bands" you are actually discussing would make a nice addition, probably easier put in the strap by you...I am sure some can be sent to you..

If you want to "get out of the business" of having to be notified of a new Member and then having to send them a strap...Either George or myself (we both share the Membership info) can do the mailing if we have a few in supply as long as you can continue to do so...

Very generous gesture on your part!
Thanks again.

Dear Newton,

The easiest thing for me to do is to have the bands and install them when I'm braiding the straps.

I will be more than happy to braid a bunch and send them to either of y'all. It costs around $1.75 or so plus packaging to mail them so it's cheaper for me if y'all do it. Otherwise, I'm good with sticking with the present arrangement...it lets UWF use my money instead of yours for shipping.

Let me know which method you prefer, and thanks for letting me help.

Sincerely,

JPIII

Ok.....Hitch..or whoever has the large supply of bands....send some to John in some way....

John, unless George just wants more to do!!! and I do not believe he does.....just send me several of the straps (with bands on them or not) and I will take care of everything else...I'll let you know when I get low and as long as you want to continue the "deal" you can just send me another supply...

I have a few bands and can use them if I can put them on after you make the strap....not a problem...until you get bands, if that will help speed up the process...

Hey BigDog1,

Thanks for the kind words. Spread the word to potential new members and fill up that strap every time you go out this season.
