That teal sticker is going to be a big hit......Everyone should have a New Member Application ready to hand to anyone asking where you can get one!

I suggest we may want to "get our money back" on that particular sticker with a small "shipping and handling fee" of 2 to 3 bucks....(stamp, envelop and sticker is probably about $2, so I suggest $3).

Meanwhile we will continue mailing out the "old" design with renewals and memberships until the supply is depleted (or we just decide to change and take the loss)....then we will start sending out the newly designed oval sticker Hitch did...That sticker will replace the current black and white Ringer.

What we need to do is:

(1) get a supply of the new "oval" stickers (we need about 1000 year) to George Krimminger.....

(2) get a supply of the TEAL OUTLINE stickers to me to send out as we get orders at the UW-F web store....just like I do the hats and T shirts, etc.

Since we will be charging enough to cover the costs, I suggest getting a 1000 of them done as well. I believe we will get that investment back.

Whereever you guys order them makes no difference if you are getting a fair price....Send the invoices to Dan so he can pay for them or reimburse you.

Unless there is an objection, or other idea, I suggest we move on this asap...

Great ideas came out of that String on updating our decals!!!!! I believe it was Chuck that used the outline of Florida for the stripe on the Teal....a really attractive point.

If we want to get the decals "into the system" we want to be sure they are purchased and the invoice paid by UW-F, and if an individual pays for them they should be reimbursed....

Same as for all hats, shirts and other UW-F items that we routinely purchase for distribution.

We would also want them listed on the web store so anyone who wanted one could get one...

You pm D Duck and he will send you a sticker. I will add I think every member should get sent a teal sticker. We already did 350 stickers and thats gonna cover some of them I think UW should give a first run out via a store link or something to current members and one should be included with a red sticker on renewals or new memberships. The more we get out the better. Newton FYI I came up with the state emblem as the white crest, Chuck did the first outline and backcast did the font, put it all together and had them made.

Duckbone....I though there was consensus to go from the current black and white (which I like) to the new more cartoonish design.....nothing is going to happen on that for a while as we have a good supply of the current sticker (which was just redesigned last year). However, we can have both ovals...sending out Hitch's design with the Renewals upon request, otherwise the "auto send" will be the current black and white Ringer until we need to reorder and can decide on one or the other...or to keep both.

What has to be done so we have some order and consistency in supplying the decals is to get them into the Web Store, especially the new TEAL decal which is a super item and needs broad distribution asap.

As I posted before, this is not a difficult situation...we simply need for whoever has the source for either of the two new stickers to order 1000 and have them sent to me and I will put them into the regular "mail order" process that gets the hats, shirts and replacement stickers out to Members routinely.

The cost needs to be run by Dan Daniels just before ordering to be sure funds are available...and they should be as we are in good shape.

Newton, with the new cool designs that have emerged, it will be tough to give the old ones to some/new members while others are riding in style with the new ones. Maybe we just get all the old ones and give'em away at the Summit or other future events. How many are we talking about?

I think the idea to send the membership one of each is great. As I'm sure some people like the old sticker. Kind of like me, I like the old DU sticker over the duck head. The more out in the public's eye, the better. If we've got a ton of the old style ovals, no better place to give them out than youth hunts, seminars, summit, etc.

The $25 annual Membership barely covers the expense to have a Member on the books as it is.....Nothing wrong with giving a new Member or a renewing Member a choice of "one" sticker each year....we do that now (no choice)...Others could be obtained on the UW-F Forum's Web Store at a nominal fee.

Fine newton after we invest in getting a bunch out there, create some demand for both stickers which ever someone might personally like after that renewals pick which one of the stickers they want. Or just sticker orders go through the store. Not to mention you can't buy that good of advertising. I bet most renewals are coming up in the next few months anyway. Go ahead and keep giving out the current stickers if someone wants a new design they will still stick that old design somewhere. I don't see why we need to change official logo if we give an online sticker choice. Rey can check with Dan and put an order in anytime we are ready. We can also order some in any size like if we wanted a big one for the side of a vehicle or UW trailer or something. We could offer bigger ones for the side of a boat and such.

I don't think we are intending to do away with the basic Ringer logo on the Black and White oval sticker....but there is no reason not to expand into new areas that are attractive, ie the TEAL design, and get them in the system so anyone visiting the Web Site or Forums can order them by simply clicking on the item in the Store....

That is a good way to get the widest distribution.
