Osceola Sportsman's Show 3/25-26

UW-F will have a table at the show on the 25th for sure, looking for someone to man the table on the 26th. You have to pay the entrance fee, but all the raffle tickets etc. come with it. There is vendor's parking.

The show opens at 9 am Sat. I will be there. Location is in a rural area, they have shooting and other activities, one half mile south of the Kennansville store on Rt. 441. (just north of Yee Haw Junction). It will be well marked.

This was a good gathering last year despite a torrential downpour.

Hope to see local members and prospects.....and, if anyone wants to volunteer for Sunday, I will leave the table with brochures and supplies. The sign is a "throwaway" and there will be nothing to return to me.

I have a three day (fri to sun) turkey permit on Dupuis.....willing to give up one day only!!!!!

This is a great oppertunity to spread the word about UW-F. Karen and I have helped out in the past but arent able to attend this year. If you are able please belly up and help out Sunday! Its fun and easy to do and the rewards far outweigh the expended energy by a longshot.

Thanks Wilbur.....you guys do double duty for UW-F....Someone may be able to do Sunday.....but the show is at a bad time in the middle of turkey season. If no one can do Sun., it is no great loss, Sat. is the best day.

Thanks to the members who dropped by the UW-F booth at the show. We were able to sign up a few new members. This show is new and has had some bad luck with weather,rainy last year, cold and windy this year, but could become much larger. They really went to a lot of work, with good dog work presentations, trap shooting, game food, a rodeo and lots of things for kids, including fishing, buggy rides, helicopter rides, pony rides etc.
