Good attendance by a mix of stakeholders including the FSCA, UW-F, USACE, SFWMD, Martin County, esquestrians, FWC , USFWS....

Most important presentations...FSCA did a great presentation on their youth hunting program...KVSA did a great presentation on the airboaters activity in the Kissimmee area....the district had presentations on the recreation projects....most important the new camping and boat ramp at Shady Oaks on the west side of Lake Kissimmee, now set to open in July. Jerry Krenz gave a report on the new hunting and access changes....

Unfortunately the land now the C 23/24 SGHA has been leased to a company that will clear the land and plant crops for biofuels....this is as expected as the land was slated for leasing or use for the reservoir...we got a few years of hunting meanwhile.

Good news....the Rocky Glades area has been expanded by over 1000 acres and will be a SGHA with a full Migratory Bird Season and hog hunting.....with legal ammo....meaning the all steel requirement is no longer a problem...

Frog Pond Dove Field will require steel shot, however.

The Sportsman Crossing area will have a boat ramp into the canal and good parking areas...however access is not expected until Feb. of next year.

Lots of other issues, mostly on Hungryland's new hunting area and esquestrian access...Dupuis camping, esquestrian, hunting conflicts and other items not related to duck hunting....

Next meeting is Sept. 19.
