SFWMD & FWC come to hunters relief on 1W

We don't have a copy of the executive order yet but I'm told it has been signed.

Effective for 1/22/06 and 1/29/06 and the Youth hunt on 2/5/06 STA 1W permits will be transferred to STA 3/4. That means there will be permitted and walk-on hunts for 3/4 for Saturday and Sunday for those 3 weekends.

There will be no changes to current regulations for this Sunday 1/15/06

We really want to thank Jerry Krenz at SFWMD and the FWC guys for recognizing there was a problem and going the extra mile to offer a solution.

All permit holders will be called and a letter sent to try and let everyone know about the switch.

I just got a call from WFC informing me of the change....That is SWEET!!!!! I was not looking foward to spending the last day of season at STA 1W....I had a bad experience earlier this season there
