Here's a little trip into a secret world of "low cost" duck huniting and a little duck "ID" question.

Chilling and waiting on standby for the chance:

Always someting funny to see while waiting:

The access point:

The set up:

Now the test:

Can you "ID" the ducks?

I had a great time there yesterday..but at 128 miles one way we will be there on 1/7 but would not try a "stand-by". We also had two mottleds and 10 B/W's.

Wife got a 7 mega pixel digital cam for Christmas..maybe she'll let me use it to take some pics... :)

I was there Saturday on a permit.....Had a great hunt...First bird of the day was a very nice drake pintail ( my first ever ) The only thing I really saw were pintails the whole day....Very few teal and some ringers....Shot my limit....Also got a hen redhead

I doubt I will do anymore stand bys unless my buddy wants to get there and put the name on the list for me....They got there friday at 9 pm and were still the 9th group in line
