Today will be the second day since mailing and some members should receive their copy. As usual, I would appreciate a few posts from around the state when they are received.
If you do not get a copy within a week of mailing (and you know you are up to date or only a little past due) let me know and I will check it out and mail a copy if your membership is reasonably current.
PLEASE LOOK AT THE MAILING LABEL.....YOUR ANNIVERSARY DATE IS PRINTED (THIS TIME I HAD TO HAND WRITE THEM AS THE SOFTWARE GOOFED) ON IT. IF THE DATE IS BEFORE DEC. 1 YOU ARE PAST DUE. PLEASE USE THE FORM IN THE NEWSLETTER TO RENEW.
UW-F has the best state waterfowler newsletter, thanks to David's skill.
Enjoy!
Printing the Newsletter is expensive....we need the FALL AND SPRING SHOTGUN RAFFLES to be successful to help pay for them....IF YOU ARE SITTING ON THOSE RAFFLE TICKETS WE SENT SEVERAL MONTHS AGO.....COUGH UP THE FEW BUCKS AND GET THEM IN NOW!!!!
WE ALSO WILL GLADLY SEND YOU MORE TICKETS...OR USE THE WEB SITE TO PURCHASE.....
THANKS FOR YOUR SUPPORT OF UW-F.....YOUR VOICE

I did not have my Newsletter in the mail today, five days after mailing...I am a little worried!!!! Please, if and when someone gets their Newsletter (without two regular postage stamps as I did mail some new members Regular Mail) with the "PRESORT US POSTAGE PAID" printed label only, post up a Reply here.....I am going to be really concerned if they do not start showing up soon....Sorry we missed having it in members hands before the opening.
Just got the news letter today. Received on opening day!!! Perfect timing!!! :icon_rabb Good informative news letter.

You made my day!!! the ducks sure didn't, just scratched down a couple as our spot was already taken by 4 am! In fact got one of them late am when the other guys left and we moved in.
Anyway, the Newsletters seem to be moving out as well and members will have then soon.

Newton, I also received my newsletter today, but AFTER I returned from my opening day hunt at STA3/4 , and AFTER I cleaned my birds. Since I wasn't wearing rubber or latex gloves when I cleaned my birds (see page 9 of the newsletter), I could now be looking the "Blue Wing Flu" square in the face.
Please pardon me if wait to renew my membership until the last minute (to see if I make it. :sad11:

Well, we were not happy campers about the Newsletter being a week later than we planed, but Wilma took away the electricty we use the computer to compile the copy,do set up and run our printer!!!! And then when we did get running week before last, the black drum bit the dust.....problem....the next day was a holiday and even $400 and next day air still shouved us into Sat. printing, and Sunday stapleing, folding, pinning and putting in exact postal zone order.....mailed Mon. am....normally most are delivered in less than 5 days...
XXXX happens!
But to be honest, I don't know of any state duck hunting group that comes close to the content and quality of UW-F's Newsletter....we do three a year and they cost a lot.....over $7.50 each if we paid to have them printed!
We do need volunteers to help with the process....free beer for the two days it takes to print at Davids house and day and a half to prepare for mailing at my house.
We also need as much member input as articles as possible....it is the MEMBERS NEWSLETTER. David and I do a lot of the copy, solicit articles and pictures for use, edit and then DAvid does the fantastic work that makes the appearance proffessional.....then we get to do the above grunt work...
You are welcome to help in any way.

Got mine Monday!
The article on State sovereign lands was good. That's always been a gray area as far as "where" the line ends.

I havent got mine yet, but the mail is real slow around here. The pony express used to be faster! I will post upon reciept.

If you renewed in late Oct. or in Nov. your new renewal date may not have made this copy. For some reason the software failed and did not automatically put on the "last recorded" dates. That date is not correct if a recent renewal has not been totally processed and the new date added to the data base. I had to use the last Members List printed for me to redo all the dates on this Newsletter. We expect the Feb. edition to be ok.

Got mine yesterday, once again good job. I signed up my step-son on a jr membership and he got one too. Suggestion to save funds, send 1 newsletter per household. Just a thought.

Well I finally took time to sit and read the newsletter. Great job! Ya'll put alot of hard work into this job and it shows big time. Our newsletter is the best one out there and it because of the time and attention that goes into it. Great job, thanks guys!

DArkwing....I finally got mine yesterday.....This is the worse service we have had and I believe it is a combination of the storm and the advertising for the season....There are people across the state who are reporting they do and do not have it yet.....hopefully all will be delivered soon....if anyone is missing one by the middle of next week I can remail for them.

Do we have an ONLINE COPY? Is it possible to put one online and cut cost's a little. You could still mail to those who prefere a hard copy but an electronic one would work for me. JUST MY .02

Davey and I still have not received our copy. Pretty **** poor service from USPS.
I'll get the online copy posted up in the next couple days. It will be under the "news" tab off the side bar menu. :icon_salu
