Week 6 ended today with the graduation of 13 newly certified safe hunters. It was a great week. A busy week! The number of students at hunt camp was reduced this week because of an "Advanced Fishing Camp" that was also taking place on the facilities.

We had one camper whose Mom and Dad, and rest of family are non hunters. His parents were most appreciative and have signed him up for the Youth Hunting Program in Florida. Another graduate's father that is also a non hunter was impressed at how much his son enjoyed this week, and after touring the facilty made sure to enroll his son in the Youth Hunting Program, and in addition to that... signed himself up to take a "traditional" hunter safety course that starts at BTYCC tomorrow morning! Those two families are the people that we are trying to reach out to. If they continue to enjoy our sport that is great, if they don't, they have learned that the stereotype of "who a hunter is" is badly depicted.

Two weeks left for BTYCC Hunt Camp 2010. The next two week's classes are just about max'd out at 24 each!

A reminder that UWFL teaches "Waterfowl 101" on WED mornings at 0900. We also assist with First Aid on THUR at 1300, and UWFL teaches Survival Class. Survival class is not a hard scheduled time because we use that class as a time slot fill in, in case inclement weather should chase us in doors. If weather is good all week then after First Aid is survival at 1400.

No pictures this week, just so busy this week that I didn't have a chance to take any.:angry2:
