I have begun work on the list of projects for 2006 for presentation to the Board at the WINTER HUNT in January for approval. Now is a good time for everyone to list their ideas. Obvioulsy, we especially need projects from the north, northwest and southwest as there continues to be a lot of activity in the southeast and middle portions of the state.

Whenever I do this list I am amazed at how much UW-F has accomplished over the past four years as we remove "DONE" items!!!! Thanks to the hard work of members across the state.

Just post your ideas as a REPLY on this string.
Thanks

1. Streamline the MI hunt permit process. Electronic/internet format is preferable.

2. Elimination of the SJRWMD property hunt fees/permits.

3. Continue to push for season long access to WMA properties as long as it does not interfere with quota hunt dates.

I'm sure I'll come up with more later, but this is a start.

- Opening up more areas on MINWR
- Taking care of the impoundments on MINWR like they do Blackpoint.
- Finish up tamper-proof drainages on impoundments.
- Access to new public lands and waters for hunters.

I'll agree with D Duck's list ...

One other WMA that needs to be added to the list for access ... Dexter/Mary Farms. I was passing by there on Saturday morning (headed to the duck hunting workshop) and noticed woodies flying into the ponds on the WMA. :)

MI needs work.

1. Streamline the TM Goodwin hunt permit process. Electronic/internet format is preferable.

2. Correct STA process.

Organize and promote a Youth Waterfowl Hunt open to all qualified kids in each region. Promote the event in local newspapers two weeks prior to the hunt.

Kevin, I hunted near a little pond inside an oak hammock in there last year. Yes there are a good number of ducks present. You could here em flying overhead just before they weaved their way through the trees to splashdown. :)

Since new ownership of the phosphate mines here in Polk county maybe we can ask FWC to try to re lease some of the areas. At one time there was very good hunting in these areas.

The Circle B property to be reopened to hunting.
