Went up this morning at 0621.
Shots were taken at 65+/- miles away.I tried to include all I have learned about fireworks from yall on the other site and my Ferris wheel pictures.
I left the shutter open for 5 seconds on the first shot just to check it to see if everything was working right. The 2nd shot was open for 23 seconds.I also cropped out some lightpoles.Hindsight being 20/20 I wish I would have focused back a little farther and left the shutter open for 4-5 minutes now that I see how things turned out.
Oh well,if it was easy everybody could do it!
Lighting up the sky.

The booster rockets are falling off here somewhere.

Hung around a while to see the sun come up behind the smoke trail.

OK,here is my feeble attempt to clone out some street lights and add the shuttle trail all the way to the tree line.Let me know what you think.

Very Nice. Long exposures are a challenge. If you look in "whack's" gallery he has some ridiculous shuttle pictures in his gallery. Of course he was able to get a lot closer. That last pic is great.
