if we could come up with a geographic distribution map of our members. It may help us in our mission to become stronger in new areas where our support isn't as strong! Maybe we could send out a mailing to license holders in that area to drum up more members!

If one out of four members would recruit one new member we could hit 500 by the end of this duck season. Let's go guys, are all your hunting buddies UW-F members? If not, shame them into joining the VOICE!

I passed out some cards to 3 guys at the ramp on Saturday the opener. I'm runnin' low and could use some more please.

I have given out half a dozen apps since the opener, all seemed real interested in joining. Time will tell, but at least they know we are here and working for all duck hunters. :icon_salu

Last Saturday as we were gettin' ready to head for home, a guy came runnin' to the truck after he saw the cards I gave to some others. He wanted to get one for himself too. :icon_salu

Thanks to all for working for new members and keeping the renewal rate high....My goal is 1000 members...we can do it by the end of 2007 at the current rate of growth.....but wouldn't it be a great achievment to do it before the end of 2006!!!!!!?

This level makes us viable financially, multiplies the number of letters, emails, etc to the burecrats when we need them, raises the level of participation in agency meetings across the state and gives us more folks who are willing to do the work of running the organization (usually about 5 for every 100 that join).

Although our budget will always remain small by design....funding at the 1000 member lever with two or three successful gun raffles will enable us to donate to projects designed to improve duck hunting in Florida. UW-F already is a major force in Florida....and the influence will grow with the membership.
