Uw-f Table At Orland Bps Waterfowl Days Oct 15/16

UW-F will have a table booth at the BASS PRO SHOP ORLANDO WATERFOWL DAYS OCTOBER 15/16. I will be there, but volunteers to help are welcome. I will have the FALL RAFFLE GUN and hope to sell a lot of tickets! Great time to sign up new members. UW-F will also do at least two seminars on duck hunting in Florida on the stage.

Look forward to a big UW-F turnout.....the jumping dogs are suppose to be there......

I plan to drive up in time to arrive about 8:30 am....setting up is easy as it is only a table top show....No need for anyone to rush in...I plan to be there for the day, but I do need someone to man the table while I go do the seminars on stage....unfortunately, I never get those times, usually late am and mid afternoon, until I get there and they send the schedule around I will be staying at my sons' house Sat. nite and work the show the next day till about 4pm or so.

I look forward to seeing all who come and help or just visit. We usually sell a lot of raffle tickets and sign up new members at these events.

Thanks to all who help man the table and visited....we sold a lot of raffle tickets and signed up a few new members, including a youth membership. I was suprised at the low number of duck hunters in the store....a lot of deer hunters....but the jumping dogs should have brought out more duck hunters.

Our table was located right in front of the handgun display and sales counter....Orlando PBS attracts a lot of the foreigners on vacation at the nearby attractions and they tend to walk around with mouth agape at all the hunting stuff ( and the rednecks pushing their carts!!!!). The pistols in the case just amaze them and they are "horrified" that people can just buy them over the counter.....one lady said she was "terrified just looking at them"....she was really terrified when I told her of Florida's conceal carry law and that no doubt some of the customers standing around her were "packing"!!!!!

They were all interested to hear how crime was always lower in places where "right to carry" existed..and I would suggest they should try it at home!!!

Good to see you at BPS Newton. Very nice booth location. Sorry I couldn't stay longer but my wife was dragging me around by my leash. My buddies dog won the dockdog event. Can't believe a 18 month old male GSP beat all those labs. He was jumpimg over 24'. 2 jumps of 24'1" & 24' 3". This was his first contest and is now jumping in the "Elite" division. Most of the folks at the dockdog pool were agility folks. Didn't talk with any duckers.

Great job to all who worked the booth, visited and bought raffle tics :icon_salu I wish I could have made it. Spent most of the weekend with a heatin' pad on my back. It's amazing how much a bunch of decoy weights in a 5 gallon bucket weigh :rolleyes:
