http://i344.photobucket.com/albums/p321/oldcamproad1/P1010242.jpgI have this growth on my dog he is about 5 months old .a couple of weeks ago I thought he was stung or bit bye something ,now it is about the size of a quater pretty hard sort of looks like a mushroom cap does not hurt him when i put pressure on it. I have a vet appointment for this thursday was just wondering if you had any ideas.

Histiocytoma is very likely. Will sometimes repsond to topical steroids, but often easier to just remove. While technically a tumor, they are generally benign and easily removed entirely. If your vet wants to remove it, pay the extra for a biopsy (always a good idea!).

thanks for the information .I will have the biopsy done ,we will see tomorrow.
