I can't speak for the STA's, but we use a combination of species. Teal, mottleds, ringers, widgeon and pintails.

Duckwhacker gave you good advice. I figured he'd say blue bills or red heads for hunting the easy greasy ducks. Wouldn't hurt to mix in a few coot decoys as well.
I just ordered some Bluewinged Teal.

Not specific to the STA's (have not hunted there, yet) but a good bet would be teal, mallard hens (just 2-3), and coots. The more coots the better.... You can mix in some ringnecks, pintails and wigeon if you have the wherewithall to afford 'em. Decoys with white (pintails and ringneck drakes) are also good attractors - you can see that white from a long way away.

I have pintail, mottled, bluebill and teal dekes. That basically represents most of the species I am in regular contact with. I mix them up in numbers and species according to where I am hunting, amount of birds I am seeing, and time of the season.
