As of right now the Southern Conservation Areas remain closed including Everglades Francis Taylor. I just got off the phone with Willie Puz who is the Director for the South Region and he informed me that the water levels have actually dropped a fraction since the closure but that the FWC is monitoring things on a weekly basis and so far it will remain closed. I envision the same thing as last year, closed until the Monday before the regular season. I will be contacting him to request that a specific area be open in time. This is my proposal: Open 3A South from with the following boundaries Holiday Park to US41 and L-28/L-88A to L-67. This will not affect the deer but it is where we do the ducking! What do you guys think?
