KPUA activity continues to open opportunities for recreation including hunting.
Some trapping of hogs raised the question of "why not let the hunters do it" and there was some discussion of why an area is limited to bowhunting only during other seasons...and especially on removing hogs.
Work on the Kissimmee River Restoration will impact some areas, but the future looks bright for the river plain in future years.
UW-F presented Byron Maharrey with a plaque recognizing his many years of fighting for hunting and access to public lands, especially the STAs and the Kissimmee areas for duck hunting.
