What shampoo to use on a Lab

Every now and then little Ms. Yellow dog gets into something that she shouldn't.
I have always wondered what the recommended shampoo was to use. I have heard that human shampoo is a no no and dish detergent isn't much better.

Depends on the skin of the pet. Normal dog, with no skin issues, human shampoo would be fine for a dog that just got dirty. there are lots of different shampoos made for dogs that would be better for long term use though. Just better balanced for the skin.
