Well I gotta say I didn't sleep a wink last night. My boy left for Fort Benning today to start BCT. I have never felt this level of nervous pride before. I am so proud of him and at the same time afraid he may one day get himself in a pickle abroad. He fully understands his commitment to our country and he will do whatever neccessary to keep our freedoms.
Not sure if anybody remembers him from the UW meeting in Titusville but he said to tell everyone to save a couple ducks for him if he is able to get back here this season.

Kieth I remember your son, a fine young man. Please let him know that I am thankful for what he is doing for our country. :icon_salu If this year is like last he will have plenty of ducks because I sure didn't hurt the population! :toothy9: :toothy10:

Keith, As long as there has been conflicts and sons in the service... there have been fathers who know that feeling of pride and dread....
I have always admired young men who know the pride of service to our country. :)

Just wanted to take a minute and THANK everyones kind words. I will pass them on to him when I talk with him. We haven't heard from him yet to even know if he made it to BCT. I'm sure he did and is enjoying the sunshine a Ft Benning. He graduates BCT on Oct 28th.
DW give your boy a big THX from all of us.

Keith and Wacker,
You both should be proud. Thanx for your and their sacrifices. Tell 'em to keep their heads down, shoot straight and to make it back in one piece.
