Hats off to Capt Jeff & his crew!
The event went off without a hitch - the weather even cooperated.
UW-F was mentioned as a sponser no less than three times during the announcements.
It looked to me that a good time was had by all.
P.S. - Joe Richter, Sr. caught the biggest trout I ever saw pulled out of the Indian River. 7+ pounds, and he lost the category!

We fished "Band the slam" again this year and for the second year in a row we were taking home a prize. Last year my son won the top prize of a Benelli Nova pump shotgun with a "super slam" of trout/red/flounder with total weight of over 15 lbs! Unfortunately, the flounder was not to be for either of us and my nice 5.6 lb Trout( See, I didn't even have to embellish this one..Darryl did it for me! :laughing6 )was also not enough and the Red I had was kinda small... BUT It had 4 spots on it and that was enough to win me another custom fishing rod from Boner! A $225 value. It will go real nice with the rod I won last year WITH A 4 SPOT REDFISH!

The weather was looking bad friday but was wonderfull on saturday(could have used just a bit more wind..it was swealtering!) and the fish bit well.
While we didn't play our "A" game with a couple blown opportunities hurting us on both the reds and trout... It was a fun time for a good cause.
The South Brevard D/U committee did a great job hosting the tournament.
