Today on NPR (National Pinko Radio, right?) the Diane Rehm show's guest had written a book about how kids are experiencing the outdoors less and less. I believe the title was "Last child in the woods" (the nature deficit disorder).

I called in and plugged UW efforts w/ the FWC's Summer camp. :icon_salu

Ya'll can get an audio link by going to www.wamu.org I think. If not google search the Diane Rehm Show.

Once on feed, fast forward till almost the end.

Great! The new Republican boss of NPR has made for some changes!!!! At least some small element of traditional life is being allowed on "public" airways. Duke.....really fast thinking on your part to call in. I listen to NPR in the am and afternoon as they do good news....you just have to weed through the leftwing bias.....and it is getting better in that regard recently. I also like the BBC news....which is usually even more anti USA and leftist....but it gives a different prespective and, when I traveled during the 70, 80 and early 90's, the only English news I could get often and I came to look forward to the broadcasts.
