We have reveived a 6 page letter from John Kostyack, senior Counsel, National Wildlife Federation and Randy Sargent, Wildlife Counsel, NWF to Secretary of the Army Francis Harvey and Secretary of the Interior Gale Norton.
The letter sets forth a foundation to show that the Corp. is violating the Endangered Species Act (EAS) by harming Snail Kite habitat with high water levels on Lake Okeechobee.
NWF intends to initiate a lawsuit if the Corp does not address the issues raised in the letter.
